Top Course Description

Designed for those individuals who are unable to attend a live presentation, the online program offers service professionals the opportunity to become Quality Service Certified ®. (Review the Frequently Asked Questions about the Quality Service Certification® program.) The online instructional course content is presented in Flash, with each page of the course "textbook" resembling the notes page view of a PowerPoint presentation (slide above the narration for that particular slide). You simply click through the "pages" on your computer screen. An online 40-question multiple choice exam follows the instructional phase of the program. Expect to spend at least 3-4 hours reviewing the Flash presentation and approximately 30-45 minutes on the exam.

Once you pass the exam, a Commitment document will be presented. After the steps in the Commitment document are agreed to by clicking the appropriate button, the next step will be to agree to the Licensing Agreement. After the Licensing Agreement you will gain access to the QualityCertified.org Members section and your profile will be displayed on the consumer web site. When you return to the QualityCertified.org web site you will use your user name and password to gain access to the members section where you can access marketing materials, update your personal profile, and many other features.

The program also requires participation in using the Quality Service Assurance Survey©, signing of a Licensing Agreement governing the use of the recognition and Quality Service Certified® status, trademark and copyright materials and a statement from your broker. Next up is a more detailed look at Course Requirements.

In summary, the on-line Quality Service Certification ® Program is comprised of:

  • Instructional segment utilizing Macromedia Flash Player
  • Appendix of support materials for the instructional presentation
  • Exam
  • Documents for your review and consent
Top Course Requirements

Meeting course requirements starts with viewing the presentation. Proceeding that is a 40 question multiple choice exam that must be passed. Next, you must agree to a commitment to follow a prescribed service process that is presented and communicated in writing to every client. (Review the Commitment document.)

An integral element of the total service package rendered by the Quality Service Certified® service professional is the use of the Quality Service Assurance Survey© with every closed transaction. The feedback is invaluable to you, the service provider. Satisfactory service delivery is an ongoing requirement to maintain your Certified status. The prepayment of the first set of surveys and the online program is completed proceeding registration. A Quality Service Assurance Survey is sent to every client for each transaction from an independent research company, after the transaction closes. (Review the survey details, sample seller and buyer surveys and confidentiality statement.)

After completing the online education session, passing the exam and agreeing to the Commitment, you will be instructed to download and print two documents which must be read, signed and returned. One is a Licensing Agreement which grants you limited use of copyright and trademark materials to use for promotional and advertising purposes. The other document is a statement from your broker declaring that he/she knows of no reason why you would not be eligible to be Quality Service Certified®.

Top Technical Requirements

Because this course is Internet-based, it requires that you have some familiarity with and access to the Internet. You should have a computer with a modern browser (Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher or Netscape 6.0 or higher is recommended). You will need access to a printer to print instructional materials and documents. Additionally, we make use of two standard file formats. You will need to have the Macromedia Flash Player and the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. If you do not have sufficient access to your computer or do not know how to install these programs ask your technical support person for assistance.

The on-line Quality Service Certification® Program is comprised of:

  • Presentation - The presentation will take approximately 2-3 hours to complete. You will want to remain on-line through the entire course as stopping and restarting is less convenient.
  • Exam - After completing the course, you will be instructed on how to access the exam, which is taken on line.
  • Documents for your review and consent - The Licensing Agreement, Commitment Letter and Broker Recomendation Letter.
Top Exam Grading

The Quality Service Certification® online exam consists of 40 multiple choice questions. There is a time limit of 60 minutes. A score of 70% must be attained for passing, which requires a minimum of 28 of the 40 questions to be answered correctly. The score is shown to the test taker after submission of the exam for grading.

If the exam is failed on the first try, the participant may retake the exam one additional time at no charge. It is strongly suggested that the presentation be reviewed before a second attempt is made to pass the exam. If after the second attempt the participant fails, the course must be registered and paid for again before the participant is permitted to try to become Quality Service Certified ®.

Top Program Costs

The online program is $199, payable by charge card. In addition, because a sales person's ability to maintain the Quality Service Certified® status is dependent upon satisfactory service evaluation feedback from clients, a prepayment of $50 the first set of surveys is required, payable at the time of registration. These surveys are sent from an independent research company to your clients after each and every closed transaction.

All charge card orders are processed using SSL (Secure Socket Layer). This means that your information is encrypted so that it may not be viewed by an unauthorized third-party.

For those who successfully maintain the Quality Service Certified® status and recognition, there is a $50 annual membership renewal. (Review requirements for maintaining the Quality Service Certified® status and recognition.)
